By using PeaceLingo you agree to these terms. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ for an Apple purchase, Apple's terms govern.

The service

PeaceLingo records audio you choose to capture, transcribes it, writes a summary, translates it into the language you pick, and can email it to you. Summaries and translations are produced automatically by AI and can contain mistakes, including wrong names, numbers or dates. Check anything important against the recording or the full transcript before you rely on it. PeaceLingo is not a substitute for professional interpretation in legal, medical, or other high-stakes settings.

Subscriptions and the free trial

• PeaceLingo requires a subscription: yearly or monthly, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
• The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial with all features and up to 120 minutes of recordings. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged at the end of the trial.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Each plan includes a monthly amount of recording time, shown in the app. Processing stops for the rest of the month when it is used up.

Your content and your responsibilities

• Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you.
• You must have the right to record. Many places require the consent of everyone being recorded; telling people and getting that consent is your responsibility.
• Do not use PeaceLingo to break the law, to record people secretly where that is illegal, or to try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Keep your account secure; you are responsible for activity on it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it with Apple or Google.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by errors in automatically generated transcripts, summaries or translations. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
